As we understand it, transversal abilities are those common to every person — the abilities one uses at work and to take care of a child. One example of a transversal ability would be communication: not only fluency in a language but also knowing how to enter into a conversation with another person, knowing how to say no — these more communicative abilities. Time management, as well as self-regulation and emotional empathy, would also be transversal abilities.
