In some of my classes, the CC serves as our primary textbook; in others, I supplement course materials with interviews, the books or concepts from the co-dictionary. Aligned with the public scholarship and civic engagement objectives of my courses, my students actively contribute to the CC by enriching it with content (such as entries for the co-dictionary or didactic units for its prototyping and replication). Additionally, I frequently utilize various dynamics that we’ve developed in collaboration with collectives, such as the Open Councils dynamic created with the Ortiga Colectiva. Some of my practices have been uploaded to the Open Classroom, available for download and replication. I convey to my students that when we engage with the Constellation as temporary inhabitants, we are significantly expanding the scope of applied humanities and its involvement in systemic transformation. Each contribution from my students serves to materialize and enhance this vision.
