Ellen Mayock

Professor in the Department of Romance Languages at Washington and Lee University, Ellen Mayock teaches, researches, and writes about issues of gender and justice in Spain, Latin America, and the United States. At her university, she founded English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), a volunteer group of students that teach Spanish and English in the community, translate documents, and serve as interpreters, and she founded Pluma, a journal of literary creation in Spanish.
